Citizen Advocacy Auckland exists to uphold the rights, choices, and dignity of people with intellectual disabilities. We connect individuals who are often excluded or unheard with passionate volunteer advocates—everyday citizens who stand beside them, speak up with them, and walk alongside them in friendship and solidarity.
Our mahi is grounded in aroha, justice, and the belief that every person deserves to live free from abuse, neglect, and isolation. In a world where systems often fail those most vulnerable, we are there—building lifelong relationships, holding services accountable, and ensuring no one is left to navigate the world alone.
Why Your Support Matters
While we are currently funded by Disability Support Services (DSS) and Independent Living Service, our vision is to grow. To reach more people and strengthen our advocacy, we need the backing of individuals, community groups, service clubs, businesses, and organisations who share our belief in equity and social justice.
