Who Needs an Advocate
There are some people who have no one in their life apart from paid caregivers. They might need support to deal with practical affairs of daily life.
Sometimes people feel rejected by their local community. And sometimes people receive poor quality services or have limited choices available to them.
Some people are are vulnerable to being treated unfairly and need another person to stand up and speak out for them.
A person in these sorts of situations can be assisted by one caring, individual, independent of service provision, who can stand beside them and support them to work through difficult issues.
